Besides its Academy and Composition Competition impuls is also promoting concerts and biennial festivals of contemporary music and organising other activities like workshops, music communications programs ... and special projects like the impuls . MinuteConcerts.

Through these versatile programs impuls offers different approaches to - and thus contributes to a better understanding of both classical modern and contemporary music not only for professionals, but also for broader audiences.

On Saturday, April 28th, 2012 impuls continues with its impuls . MinuteConcerts. Walk through Galleries with Music (introduced within the impuls Festival 2009 for the first time in Graz).

The presentations are preceding by several impuls workshops for young musicians both in Vienna and Graz.

On October 6th, 2012 a new work by Marina Khorkova commissioned by the Ernst Krenek Institute will be premiered by Klangforum Wien at musikprotokoll in Graz. Mrs. Khorkova was selected amongst the participants of the 7th edition of the impuls Academy in 2011.
